How is SelenoDB implemented?

SelenoDB is a relational database implemented in MySQL 5.0 with InnoDB as storage engine. Synchronization across mirror sites uses the database server replication capacity. The selenodb_admin script in BASH manages the creation, removal, update and backup of the database. The web server runs on Apache 2.2.0 (embedded with mod_perl for optimal speed) with Perl 5 as the database interface.
